Hungarian Parliament Building & Crown Jewels     Brightly lit building at the banks of a blue river, enticing tourists is one of the most iconic shots of Budapest. No photo of Budapest is complete without some part of the building being shown. The stunning architecture is the current seat of the Hungarian Parliament and offers a keen insight into Hungary’s political past. There are 691 beautifully decorated rooms out of which a few are open for public display. 2. St. Stephen’s Basilica

The cathedral’s most precious holy relic, the mummified right hand of the church’s patron saint, the first king of Hungary, is displayed under glass in the chapel to the left of the high altar.

3. Matthias Church

Matthias Church is the most visited Roman Catholic temple in Budapest and a prominent landmark on Castle Hill. Matthias the church was used as a mosque, and was later renovated in the Baroque style. The free organ concerts held here on Sunday evenings are well worth attending.

4. The Museum of Fine Arts

 Not only Budapest’s most important art gallery, but also houses one of the largest collections of works by the Old Masters to be found in Europe is the Museum of Fine Arts. The adjacent Palace of Art is the city’s leading contemporary art museum and hosts many temporary exhibits. The museum is divided into six excellent departments  like Egyptian Art, Ancient Art, the Old Sculpture Gallery, the Old Painter Gallery, the Modern Collection, and the Graphics Collection.
